HyBeast Custom: Building Our Own Hytale Content

I'm excited to officially introduce HyBeast Custom - our very own content pack that adds exclusive items to the HyBeast server. This is where I get to flex my modding skills and create things specifically tailored for our community!

What's In The Pack?

HyBeast Custom currently includes three custom items, with more in development:

BeastBucks - Server Currency

BeastBucks are our physical in-game currency that bridges the gap between the server economy and your inventory.

How They Work

  • Buy BeastBucks: Purchase them for $1 in-game dollar each
  • Sell BeastBucks: Sell them back for $1 in-game dollar each
  • Stackable: Stack up to 1,000 BeastBucks per slot
  • Tradeable: Trade them with other players directly

Why BeastBucks?

We created BeastBucks to give players a tangible currency they can hold, trade, and use in ways that the standard economy system doesn't allow. Think of them as cash you can carry around!

Stats:

  • Quality: Common
  • Max Stack: 1,000
  • Drops on death: Yes (be careful!)

Vending Machines (Work In Progress)

This is what I'm currently building - Vending Machines that let players buy items using their in-game cash!

The Vision

Imagine placing a vending machine in your base or a public area where players can:

  • Browse available items
  • Purchase using in-game currency
  • Get instant delivery

Crafting Recipe

The Vending Machine will be craftable at a Tier 2 Workbench:

  • 80 Iron Bars
  • 500 BeastBucks

Yes, you'll need to invest some serious resources and currency to get one of these bad boys!

Current Status

The model and textures are complete - it's a beautiful retro-style vending machine with a display showing available items. I'm currently working on the backend functionality to make it actually sell things. Stay tuned for updates!

Bamboo Eskrimas - Dual-Wielded Combat

For those who missed the original announcement, the Bamboo Eskrimas are dual-wielded bamboo fighting sticks inspired by Filipino martial arts.

Combat Stats

These weapons use the dagger moveset with custom damage values:

Why Eskrimas?

I've always been fascinated by Filipino martial arts (Eskrima/Arnis/Kali), and dual-wielded weapons are just cool. The bamboo material gives them a natural, lightweight feel perfect for agile combat.

Stats:

  • Quality: Uncommon
  • Item Level: 20
  • Max Durability: 80
  • Durability Loss: 0.1 per hit
